I am an active Ultra Distance Endurance Athlete and fitness "enthusiast", husband, and father of three children. Starting out with gymnastics as a very young boy, I developed into a well-rounded athlete having played baseball, soccer, and basketball before finding hockey as a freshman in Harry S. Truman High School in Levittown, PA. Starting much later than most of my peers in the sport, I struggled to catch up. I devoted most of my free time developing my skills and enrolled in skills clinics, ultimately discovering and enrolling in hockey and power skating clinics led by Instructor Craig Fennie at Bristol Ice Arena in Bristol, PA. Over time, as my skills and knowledge improved, I was invited to assist Craig with his clinics. I found a passion in helping others develop their skills in a sport that I loved. By my senior year of High School, I had progressed enough to be selected to play in our All-Star game. As a freshman, I tried out for and was selected to play at Millersville University. I played for a semester, decided to take another avenue, returned home, and joined the Marine Corps. I then went on to work for the Government, where I’ve been for the past 20+ years. I continued to play hockey in men’s leagues into my 30s until our first child arrived and my career and family life evolved. I am excited to now have the time to teach skating and hockey fundamentals to our area’s youth players. I have coached soccer with BASA for three years, and with the Beaver County Badgers for the last three years, and was the Director of Hockey Skating Skills for the Beaver County Figure Skating Club (BCFSC) out of Brady's Run Hockey Rink where I have also been instructing fundamental skating and power skating skills for the past three years. I strive to continue to develop and hone my leadership abilities, knowledge of player development, and believe strongly in cultivating a culture that seeks to instill a hard work ethic, personal discipline, resilient mindset, and most importantly, provide a strong foundation of skating and hockey skills and physical conditioning for which your player can continue to build upon. Above all, I seek to foster an environment that creates a positive experience, keeps your player eager to continue to develop and grow, and an endeavor they will reflect upon as a solid foundation in the critical elements of personal development and success that are valuable to them beyond the sport of hockey.
